She was predeceased by: her husband J. Clyde; her son Duane Edwards; her mother Geraldine McCoy; and her brother Jessie Earl Elkins, Sr.. She is survived by: her daughter Deborah Smith (Joe) of North Ridgeville; her grandson Daniel of Elyria; and her daughter Cyndi Vitale (Tony). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

The family suggests donations be made in Janice's name to one of her favorite charities: Leukemia Society, American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
