With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of JoAnn Pendleton (Elyria, Ohio), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 15, 2026 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though JoAnn may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those JoAnn touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Walter and Anna Mae Thornton; her husband Richard Clayton Pendleton; and her siblings, Eleanor Heighland, Janice Thornton, Lois Neely, Keith Thornton, Gordon Thornton and Clarence "Jim" Thornton.
She is survived by: her daughters, Melanie Davis (Michael) and Richelle Pendleton Dobbins; and her grandson Parke Pendleton Grocott. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
