He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Hendon and Evelyn Hendon Ellis; his grandparents, Myrella, Walter Christmon, James Hendon and Anna Lee Hendon-Scott; and his siblings, Gloria Tate, John "Bobby" Tate, Joseph "Jack" Tate and Walter Tate.
He is survived by: his children, Raven Hendon and Devon Hendon; his grandson Devon "Von" Hendon Jr.; and his sister Valerie Hendon. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, family members, and dear friends.
