We announce the death of Mary Catherine Rybarcyk of Elyria, Ohio, who passed away on October 1, 2026, at the age of 98. Mary Catherine will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Walter Rybarcyk; her son-in-law David Zakutny; her siblings, Ernest, Joseph, Stanley Dobrowski, Theresa Dyczkowski, Sophie Golski, Pauline Cyran, Stella Majka, Verna Sabo and Genevieve Bedock; and her parents, John Dobrowski and Josephine Dobrowski.
She is survived by: her children, Ronald, Lawrence (Joyce), Jean (Dave) and Judith; her grandchildren, Eric Nejman (Shana), Jason Nejman (Kayla), Kevin Nejman and Emily Rybarcyk; her great grandchildren, Liam Nejman and Annastyn Nejman; and her sister Ann Bycynski.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home (38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd, Elyria, OH 44035). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Agnes Church (611 Lake Ave, Elyria, OH 44035). A burial was held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at the St. Mary Cemetery (7284 Lake Ave, Elyria, OH 44035).
