Richard Karban Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Karban of Elyria, Ohio, born in Cleveland, Ohio, who passed away on October 4, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Karban and Ester Karban; and his siblings, Bob, John and Carol Duck.
He is survived by: his wife MaryLou; his children, Rich (Betsy), Victor, Pam Timar, Cecile Gidlin (Frank), Russell (Amny), Vinny (Dianne), Paulette Karban, Monica Summers (Steve), Paul (Staci) and Gloria Burkholder (Jeremy Pester); his grandchildren, Richard, Elyssa, Alaina, Madalyn, Joshua, Viviani, Dominic, Angela, Frankie, Jared, Jimmy, Kaitlyn, Jack, Bryce, Wesley, Rolo, Karley, Andrew, Abby, Katherine, Rebecca, Matthew, Annabelle, Ezekiel, Samuel, Carter and Drew; and his sister Darlene Carriker. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Mary Church (320 Middle Ave, Elyria, OH 44035). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to St. Mary Parish, Elyria, OH.
