He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse McEwen and Pauline McEwen; his siblings, Irvin McEwen and Iona McEwen; and his grandson Daniel Long.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph McEwen, Dominic McEwen, Jessie McEwen and Jenny McEwen; his great grandchild Aaron Brooks; his cousin Bob McIntyre; and his close friends, Tim and Char Wilson. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren.
