It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Nichols of Elyria, Ohio, who passed away on January 13, 2026, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Wilson and Rose Wilson Jost; her stepfather Henry "Hank" Jost; her former husband L. B. Brewer; her husband Rainey Gordon Nichols; her son Robin "Rob" Brewer'; her siblings, Billy Wilson and Anna Scott; and her nephew Allen Scott.
She is survived by: her sister Rosemary Jost; her grandsons, Justin Brewer (Emily), Blake Brewer (Dana) and Joe Brewer (Brenda); and her nephew David Scott. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
