He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest Wilms and Lavina Wilms; and his siblings, E. Joyce Reid, Elaine Sorenson, Sheldon, Phillip, William and Wallace "Corky".
He is survived by: his children, Tamara J. Tinney (Jerry) of LaGrange, Denise G. Nicol (Wayne) of Avon, Lonnie E. Wilms of Elyria, Timothy E. Wilms (Debra) of Elyria and Steven F. Wilms of Richmond, KY; and his sister Kathleen Eger of Delaware. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (312 3rd St, Elyria, OH 44035). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
