The passing of Sarah Odell of Elyria, Ohio leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on September 30, 2025 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ulysses Mitchell and Cynthia Mitchell; her husband George O'Dell; and her godchild Alferd Kennard. She is survived by: her children, Sara Carolyn Jackson, Vanessa Fruci, George Henry O'Dell (Gina) and Olivia O'Dell; her sisters, Maggie Joann Long of Rock Hill, SC and Sadie Strickland; and her godchildren, Sharon Johnson, Winiferd Kennard, Veronica Kennard, Albert Kennard and Garnetta Kennard. She is also survived by five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and two great- great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Second Baptist Church (427 Chapman Ln, Elyria, OH 44035). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
