He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred McDowell and Betty McDowell; his son Wylie S. McDowell; and his brother Alfred Thomas. He is survived by: his children, Michael Hughes of Elyria, Jenetta Newson (Allen) and Latisha Capers of Lorain; and his brother Allen Hall (Sallie Rowe) of Kansas City. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
