She was predeceased by : her parents, Colley Forrester and Sarah Rhea Forrester (Hammel); her former life partners, Gerald Stanton Matthews and James Spencer; her siblings, Mark Hubbard, Richard, Robert, Gary, William Forrester and Norma Jean Shields; and her grandson Adam Matthews.

She is survived by : her husband Homer Matthews; her sons, Gerald Keith Matthews (Anna) of Empire, OH and Douglas James Matthews (Susan) of Empire, OH; her siblings, Don Forrester, Sr. of New Martinsville, WV and Rosealine "Podi" Harder of Paden City, WV.; her grandchildren, David Matthews (Jenn) of Carrollton, Kevin Matthews of Bloomingdale, OH, Ashley Alexander (Charlie) of Richmond, OH, Austin Matthews (Mikayla) and Basseterre; and her great grandchildren, Natalie, Riley Matthews of Newton Falls, OH, Jade Matthews of Carrollton, OH, Oaklyn Alexander of Richmond, OH and Adelind Matthews of Carrollton, OH..
