It is with sadness that the passing of Darleen Gillespie of Englewood, Ohio is shared. Darleen, born on June 14, 1940, passed away on September 26, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Darleen Gillespie to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert E. Anson and Beatrice L. Anson (Ohlin); her siblings, Richard Ohlin, Tanya Meadows, David Anson and Robert Anson Jr.; her granddaughter Brooke Gillespie; and her son Daniel Gillespie.

She is survived by: her significant other Donald Gillespie; and her children, Rhonda Steck (James) of Parchment, MI, Russell Gillespie of Battle Creek, MI, Donnette VanderMeer (Gary) of Kalamazoo, MI and Randell Gillespie (Shelley) of Belvidere, IL. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Northeastern Baptist Church (6536 E G Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49048). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at the Day Cemetery.
