We bid farewell to Dona L. Whitaker of Enon, Ohio, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 26, 2025 at the age of 88. Dona touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Dona may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Dona touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John W. Carter and Thelma Carter (Schoenberger); and her siblings, Billy Carter, Betty Harmon and Joyce Mowry.

She is survived by: her husband Howard R. Whitaker; and her children, Howard R. Jr. Whitaker (Diana) of New Carlisle, Vicki Carpenter (Michael) of Donnelsville and Cindy Davis (Gary) of Springfield. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews & friends.
