He was predeceased by: his wife Janet Lignetta; his grandson Connor; his parents, John Sabath and Stella Sabath; and his brother Tom Sabath.

He is survived by: his children, Steve Sabath (Sherry), Lori Bastian (Dave), Rick Sabath (Susan), Amy Sabath and Lisa Sabath; his grandchildren, Jessica (Mike), Tyler (Ashley), Zach, Gavin, Ali, Joey (Ashley), Stephen, Nick, Evan, Ellie, Sara and Stella; his great grandchildren, Brooks, Hudson and Henry; and his brother Dick Sabath (Stephanie). He is also survived by many extended family members, and dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Gabriel Catholic Church (9925 Johnnycake Ridge Rd, Mentor, OH 44077). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
