It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bertha A. Slater of Fairborn, Ohio, who passed away on May 10, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Bertha A. Slater to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Ray Sypolt and Lottie Sypolt (Smith); her husband Chester; her children, Michael and Marjorie; and her siblings, Gladys, Junior, Ernest and Robert "Dale".

She is survived by : her children, Rita Cobb and Martyn Slater; her grandchildren, Todd Cobb, Shawn Cobb (Sarah), Erin Williams (Jeff), Jennifer Plappert and Andrew Slater; her friend Howard "Tommy" Pruitt; and her siblings, Ann Phillips, Lawrence Sypolt and George Sypolt (Nancy). She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
