He was predeceased by: his former wife Helen Adkins; his stepchildren, Claude Poole Jr., Donald Jones and Linda Poole; his siblings, Clint Adkins, Geneva Barker, Marie Adkins and Bonnie Davidson; Sherman Adkins.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Adkins; his sons, Jerry Adkins (Jacqueline) and Doug Adkins; his stepchildren, James, Betsy DeBorde (John Horton), Emma Watkins (Jim) and Mary Moore (Allen); his grandchildren, Grant Adkins, Lindsay Bossardt (Ryan), Jennifer DeVasto (Dominic), Jimmy Poole (Chelsea), Jonah Poole (Tommie), Jacob Poole (Olivia Villies), Billy Whitt (Jessica), Donnie Whitt Jr., Sam Ballard, Jessie Ballard (Jennifer), Leann Duncan (Chad), Lisa Moore, Donna Hicks (Raben), Branden Jones (Ashley) and Brittney Wallace (Jayson); and his sister Julia Brown. He is also survived by children, stepchildren, grandchildren, and extended relatives.
