He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Stewart Smith; and his parents, Katherina Keane Smith and Charles, Sr.. He is survived by: his children, Jenny Smith of New Mexico, Karen Land (Mark) of New York and Dave Smith (Julie) of Cincinnati; and his grandchildren, Sara Land (Taylor Haynos), Lucas Smith and Ashley Smith.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Belton Stroup Funeral Home (422 E Dayton Yellow Springs Rd, Fairborn, OH 45324). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Byron Cemetery (3256 Trebein Rd, Fairborn, OH 45324).
