He was predeceased by: his mother Mildred Thompson (DeSpain); and his granddaughter Rhyanna Skapik. He is survived by: his father Harold Thompson; his daughters, Jessica Brown (Mack) and Brittany Thompson; his grandchildren, Ella, Elijah, Hailey, Jaycee and Raylon; and his brothers, Tim Thompson (Jerri Prim) and Steve Thompson (Chris). He is also survived by nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tunnels to Towers Foundation in his memory.
