He was predeceased by : his parents, Delbert Reed and Mabel Glendora Hankey (Taylor); his wife Deborah Hankey (Shane); his son Christian Hankey; and his siblings, Betty Baker of Colorado Springs, Robert Hankey of Kittanning and Edward Hankey of Poland, OH..

He is survived by : his sisters, Doris Kline of Ford Cliff, PA, Carol Waud (Loyal) of Thomasville, NC and Shirley Boney (Norman) of Fairborn, OH. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
