He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Appenfelder and Ruth Appenfelder (Denton); his brother Roger; and his son Paul Appenfelder. He is survived by: his wife Jean Appenfelder (Radtke); his children, Peggy Grant, Bruce Appenfelder, Rebecca Appenfelder, Kimberly Hayes, James McKinney, Kristi Carithers and Stephen Appenfelder; and his brother Ronald Appenfelder. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
