We announce the death of Gloria J. Root of Fairfield, Ohio, who passed away on August 10, 2026, at the age of 79. Gloria will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Buford Jones and Cleora Jones (Stallo); and her former husband Edward "Sonny" Root. She is survived by: her children, Kim Couch (Rory), Lisa Tucci (Mike), Andrea Brennan (Jeff) and Kelly Ruther (Scott); and her siblings, Butch, Greg Jones, Marilyn Dehlinger and Julie Allen. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association.
