He was predeceased by : his parents, Wilford Paul Laycock and Delpha Laycock (Tremaine); his brothers, John Laycock and Jim Laycock; and his grandson Marc Laycock.

He is survived by : his wife Carole Lynn Harper; his children, Cindi Weaver (Jim) and Brian Laycock (Tracy); and his grandchildren, Andrea Adams, Amanda Willis (Michael), Alyssa Weaver, Ashley Weaver, Kimberly Laycock and Kyle Laycock (Haley) of Columbus.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Fairfield Church of Christ or LaFontaine Christian Church.
