He was predeceased by: his parents, George Proffitt and Ellen Proffitt; his girlfriend Betty J. Tittle; and his siblings, Arthur Proffitt, Martha Hemming, Gracie Goebel and Leonard Proffitt.
He is survived by: his son David Proffitt; and his brothers, Troy Proffitt (Donna) and Russell Proffitt (late Kathleen). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home (1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, OH 45013). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Fairfield Place Trustwell Living, 2357 Mack Rd, Fairfield, OH 45014 or to Hospice of Hamilton.
