With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Harmon Velie (Fairlawn, Ohio), born in Berea, Ohio, who passed away on May 2, 2021 at the age of 66. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Harmon Velie to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, June C. Velie and Roy V. Velie. He is survived by : his wife Laraine; his children, Luke Velie (Sara), Jordan Velie (Jen), Andrea Bell (Dan) and Allison Marquis (Bob); his siblings, Dane Velie and Simone Velie; and his grandchildren, Aidan, Noah, Quinn, Cameron, Annalise, Jude, Karina and Ellison. He is also survived by husband of his loving wife of 44 years and their four beautiful children.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be sent to Dr. Bob's Home, 855 Ardmore Ave., Akron OH 44302.

“Laraine and family, I was shocked to hear of Harmon’s passing. I had thought of him so many times over the years since I left Akron and was fortunate enough to meet up again just a few years ago when business brought me back to Akron. He was a special friend…………someone who was always there to lend a sympathetic ear in a time when I desperately needed one. I will always have fond memories of Harmon. Please accept our condolences.
