He was predeceased by : his parents, George Steurer and Elizabeth Steurer; his wife Rosa Anna Steurer; and his siblings, Marjorie Steurer, Margaret Cornell (Peggy), George Steurer (Bill), Edward Steurer and Thomas Steurer.

He is survived by : his children, Rosa Anna, John Steurer (Michele), Thomas Steurer (Linda Motil), Andrew Steurer, Mary Jo Fultz, Brian Steurer (Teresa Wright) and Brenda Rowland (Patrick); his grandchildren, Stephanie, Jonathan, Christopher, Nicholas, McKinsey, Austin, Jacob, Jennifer, Brooke, Kathleen and Joseph; his great grandchildren, Madison, Piper, Ian, Dominic and Jameson; his siblings, Mary Lou Krieg, Elizabeth McGonigal (Liz), Kathleen Fischer (Kate) and Lawrence Steurer (Larry); and his caregivers, Linda and Beth.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Holy Family Catholic Church or The Akron-Canton Food Bank.
