He was predeceased by : his wife Edith Costello; his grandson Brian; his siblings, Millie Ferrante (Joe) and Sam Costello; and his parents, Sam Costello and Lena Costello.

He is survived by : his children, Leslie Rayle (late Jimmy) and Lynne Wiersma (Stephen); his grandchildren, Jeffrey (Jana), Douglas (Allie) and Brittany; his great grandchildren, Greg, Nolan, Carly, Leah, Joshua and Lucas; and his brother Tony Costello (late Rita).
