He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Wellman and Marie Wellman. He is survived by: his wife Aurelia "Cookie" Wellman; his children, Denise Schneider (Geoff) and John Wellman (Megan); his grandson Nathan; and his sister Joan Clawson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home (20820 Lorain Rd, Fairview Park, OH 44126). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Corrigan-Craciun Funeral Home (20820 Lorain Rd, Fairview Park, OH 44126). A committal service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (14609 Brookpark Rd, Brook Park, OH 44142).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Casmir's Church or Crossroads Hospice and Palliative Care in Dick's honor.
