He was predeceased by: his parents, Junior McCartney and Hilda McCartney (Benavides); his son Clifford Shawn; his brother Tom McCartney; his grandparents, Alfred, Martha McCartney, Jesus and Juanita Benavides; his in-laws, Mike, Bunny Warren and Robert Ward; his siblings-in-law, Jason Shaver and Kathy Oman; and his close friend Bill Kern.
He is survived by: his daughter Cassandra Stewart (Cody); his grandchildren, Mercadez Stone, Keegan Stewart and CJ Stewart; his sister Judy Reichley (Duane); his siblings-in-law, John Ward (Brad), Robert Oman and Nancy McCartney; and his close friend Laurel Frederick. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions in Al's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
