She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Dishong and Mae Dishong (Hinesman); her husband Ivan Hobbs; and her siblings, Lawrence, Lloyd Jr., Melvin Dishong and Edna Hottel.

She is survived by: her children, Joane Kern (John) and Ivan "Butch" Hobbs Jr.; her grandchildren, Eric Kern (Tiffany), Angela Stearns (Mark) and John Jr. Kern (Melissa); her great grandchildren, Lauren, Emma, Tamora, Kristel, Chloe, Adeline, Grace, Jakob, Josephine, Gabrielle and Everleigh; and her great great grandchildren, Raelyn and William.
