He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest S. Sr. Tennant and Isabell Tennant (Lydick); his wife Nancy Schaffner (Harris); his sisters, Mary Ann Vickey, Dora Mae Rucker, Cathy Cunningham and Sarah Sue Wooten of McComb; and his grandson Nicholas Hummel.
He is survived by: his children, Keith Tennant (Mindy) of Findlay, Scott Schaffner (Shawn) of North Baltimore, Janice Hummel of Findlay, Kimberlie Chappie (Shawn) of Urbana and Anne Fain of Bellefontaine, Ohio; and his siblings, Art Tennant of St. Petersburg, Kay Feeney (Tom) of Findlay and Jeannie Powers (Dan) of Toledo, Ohio. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
