He was predeceased by: his father Eugene Marvin; his former wife Frances Kay Zeigler; his daughter Pamela Sue Marvin; and his sibling Dori Basinger. He is survived by: his children, Terry Paul Marvin and Paula Kay Marvin; his siblings, Grace Sherman of Findlay, Sharon Sheehan of Sarasota, FL, Gertrude Gingrich (Karl) of Findlay, Ralph Marvin (Betty), Kate Wise (Max) of Findlay and Carolyn St. James of Findlay; and his grandchildren, Lee, Clare Marvin, Wendell Marvin, Alice Dulgar, Virginia Metzger, Annabel Daugherty, Todd Marvin, Nick Brogan, Alex Brogan, Chakotay, Dylan and Sierra. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
