She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert H. Brombley and Jessie Brombley (Martin); her husband Carl W. H. Gierke; her sisters, Marilyn Saxton, Laura Yoder and Donna Fraley; and her daughter-in-law Vicki L. Gierke.
She is survived by: her sons, Thomas W. Gierke, Sr. of Findlay and Robert L. Gierke of Findlay; her grandchildren, Thomas W. Gierke, Jr. (Tonya) of Findlay, Michael Gierke of Findlay, Chris Gierke of Rawson and Julie Trytko of Findlay; her great grandchildren, Marcus Gierke (Edyn) of Findlay, Jeff Gierke (Kattie Iwanski) of Hampton, VA, Matthew Gierke of Fostoria, Haley Trytko of Findlay, Bree WIlliams of Findlay and Adlynn Dunlap of Findlay; and her great great grandchild Rosalynn Gierke of Findlay.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Coldren-Crates Funeral Home (205 W Sandusky St, Findlay, OH 45840). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in memory of Helen to Flag City Honor Flight or Bridge Home Health and Hospice.
