He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Larry" and Sue A. Swihart (Bishop). He is survived by: his wife Janet "Lynn" Bassingthwaite; his children, Jeremy L. Swihart of Findlay and Kristin J. Swihart of Findlay; his stepchildren, Garry Bowerman of Manitoulin Island, ON, Tammy Bowerman of Manitoulin Island, ON and Amy Wright of Manitoulin Island, ON; his grandchildren, Emerson Mercer of Findlay, Jase Swihart of Findlay, Lily Swihart of Findlay, Julisa Bowerman of Manitoulin Island, Riley Wright of Manitoulin Island and John T. Wright of Manitoulin Island; his great grandchild A. J. Wright; and his siblings, Tom Swihart (Glorianne) of Benton Harbor, MI, Bob Swihart of Manitoulin Island, Larry Swihart (Candace) of LaPorte, IN and Launette Jarema (John) of New Lowell, ON. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
