He was predeceased by: his parents, Esteban Vela and Dolores Vela Sr. (Trevino); his wife Marta B. Hernandez; his grandson Kevin C. Wolford; and his siblings, Eduardo Vela, Abraham Vela Sr., Corina Munoz and Rafaela V. Hernadez.
He is survived by: his children, Dolores Wolford (Matt Siferd), Jesus T. Vela Jr., Mary Vela-Blanton (Josh Puchta), Ruben Vela (Erica) and Rosalinda Baty (Bobby); his granddaughter Jessica Palacios; his siblings, Elida Copado (Luis), Blanca Banuelos, Elva V. Munoz and Esteban Vela Jr. (Joyce); his stepson Ronaldo Hernandez; and his son-in-law Kevin Wolford. He is also survived by his family, friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hufford Family Funeral Home (1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay, OH 45840). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (750 Bright Rd, Findlay, OH 45840).
