John E. Shepard Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John E. Shepard of Findlay, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 7, 2025 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though John may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Colonel Ernest and Margaret Shepard (Berryman); and his brother-in-law David Sloan. He is survived by: his spouse Kim Gillette; and his siblings, William Shepard (Diane) of Peoria, Joan Vallone (Mike) of Livonia, Jane Sloan of Fort Myers and Patricia McClellan (Chandler).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home (500 Lima Ave, Findlay, OH 45840). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (East) (750 Bright Rd, Findlay, OH 45840).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered in John's name to The James Fund for Life.
