He was predeceased by: his parents, George L. Gast and Janet Gast (Bessire); and his brother Dana. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Freed; his children, Joshua Gast (Crystal), Jessalyn Tester (Mike), Amber Bell (Wesley) and Trever Gast (Chelsie Risser); his grandchildren, Jayden, Haley, Bryce (Amber), Chase, Lane, Braylon, Audrina, Reichert, Leighton, Adeline, Nathan and Eliana; and his sister Tina Oswalt (Gary).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in memory of Jon to St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church or Cancer Patient Services.
