It is with sadness that the passing of Joseph Weingates of Findlay, Ohio is shared. Joseph, born on January 16, 1942, passed away on October 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Aloysius Weingates II and Rosemary Keating (Elchert); his sister Diane Weingates; and his sons, Anthony Weingates and Daniel Weingates.
He is survived by: his wife Angela Weingates (Wolfe); his children, Dorothy Weingates, Joseph [Alicia] Weingates, Monica [Jeffrey] Powell, Correna [Chad] Dillon and Michelle [Mark] Furiate; his grandchildren, Constance [Jeffrey] Bohatch, Nathan Morehead, Stephanie [Rob] Stone, Joseph [Tessa] Weingates, Samantha [Kaleb] Evans, Kenneth Powell, Nicholas Powell, Joseph [Hannah] Dillon, Gabrielle [Damon] Sarnes, Zackery [Maddy] Dillon, Daniel [Katherine] Furiate, Christian Furiate, Joshua Furiate and Isabella Furiate; and his sister Kathy [David] Bird. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (750 Bright Rd, Findlay, OH 45840). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church and/or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and/or St. Wendelin Catholic Church and/or Hope House and/or Findlay City Mission.
