She was predeceased by: her parents, William H. Poland and Beulah M. Poland (Cullison); her spouse W. R. "Mike" Walters; her sister Evelyn Von Almen; her brothers-in-law, Ed Jones and Delbert Von Almen; and her niece Emily Davis.
She is survived by: her children, Jo Ann Purnell (David) of Tiffin, OH and Terry Lee Walters (Laura) of Peoria, AZ; her grandchildren, Michael Shane Walters of Lima and Kate Layer (Jacob) of Laramie, WY; her great grandchildren, Tori and Ivy Walters of Lima, OH; and her sisters, Millie Parnell (Rex) of Olney and Julie "Judy" Jones of Redlands, CA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Olney Free Methodist Church, 223 West Cherry Street, Olney, Illinois.
