It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kimala L. Oates of Findlay, Ohio, born in Lima, Ohio, who passed away on July 15, 2020, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her parents, Bill Lewis and Jacquelyn Lewis (Jett); her husband Daniel M. Oates; her sons, Jesse Oates of North Carolina and Matthew Sims of California; her stepson Jeff Oates (Erika) of Findlay, OH; her brother Kelly Lewis (Tammie) of Waco; her grandchildren, Casey Oates and Nathan Ellerbrock; and her pet Riley.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society & SPCA of Hancock County, in memory of Kimala.

We live in Michigan and would always stop by Findley on our way to our from Lima to visit family there. I know it’s been 5 years but I didn’t know. I’m so very sorry for your loss.”
