He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter Sowards and Sylvia Diamond; and his children, Sylvia and Walter. He is survived by : his wife Judith; his children, Thomas Sowards (Shawn) of McComb, Jenny McRill (Brian) of Arlington, Renee (Amos Pettry) of Findlay, Gerald Sowards of Alpache Junction, AZ and Ashley Sowards of Findlay; and his brother Larry of North Carolina. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
