We are sad to announce that, on August 27, 2018, at the age of 85, Marlene L. Hicks (Findlay, Ohio) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her children, Stephen Hicks and Sharon Elise Hicks; and her siblings, James Miller, Marilyn Ernest, Patsy Miller, Jane Shafer and Barbara South.

She is survived by: her spouse Marvin Hicks; her sons, Michael S. Hicks of Gilbertsville, PA. and David P. Hicks (Alexis) of Gilbertsville, PA.; and her grandsons, Wesley Hicks, Anthony Hicks, Coy Hicks, Stephen Hicks (Bridget), David Hicks, Daniel Hicks and Matthew Hicks.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The First United Church of Christ, 2100 Greendale Avenue, Findlay, Ohio 45840 or to the American Diabetes Association.org.

“My father, Edward Chatelain, was Marlene's cousin; I remember Marlene from Chatelain reunions and she may have been our babysitter a couple times. My folks (mother Marjorie still is living at 93) used to meet "the cousins" for breakfasts over a number of years and enjoyed those times together.
