Maxine Swartz Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 5, 2025, at the age of 96, Maxine Swartz of Findlay, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Maxine departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Maxine. Though Maxine may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Houk and Dorothy Houk (Thom); her husband Eugene Swartz; her son Mike Swartz; and her brother Richard Houk.
She is survived by: her children, Kevin Swartz (late Barbara) of Overland Park, KS, Deanna LaRue (late Jim) of Federal Heights, CO and Nancy Swartz of Findlay; and her daughter-in-law Deb Swartz of New Albany, OH. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Smith-Crates Funeral Home (315 N Main St, North Baltimore, OH 45872). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the North Baltimore American Legion Post 539 and/or Bridge Home Health and Hospice, Findlay.
