He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Darrell and Margret Sturgess (Hooks); and his son Michael S. Dilgard. He is survived by: his wife Paula Sue (Greene); his children, Brad Sturgess (Susan) and Kristy McBride (Alden); and his sisters, Linda Spence (Harold), Merle Boles (Hal) and Sherry Hough. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
