He was predeceased by: his mother Phyllis Gerschutz; his grandson Jayce Sterling; his mother-in-law Roiene Mathers; his stepmother-in-law Nancy Zupo; and his brother-in-law William Mathers Jr..
He is survived by: his father David Gerschutz; his wife Mellissa; his father-in-law William Mathers; his siblings, Dr. Greg Gerschutz (Clara), Jon Gerschutz and Teresa Herman (Matt); and his sister-in-law Verne Katterheinrich (Vaughn). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mike's name to the Alzheimer's Association to support research and care for those battling the disease he fought so bravely.
