He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Howard and Mildred Howard (Elder); and his siblings, Perry Howard and Penny Jagmin. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Goerke; his children, Elliott Tyzzer (Audrey), Thurston Howard, Dr. Alexandra Tyzzer Patrick (Blain) and Muriel Pickering (Chase); his grandchildren, Everett, Isla, Maddi, Tobie, Addelynn, Brayden and Nolan; and his sisters, Peggy Sickinger, Polly Howard-Nyenhuis (Terry), Pamela Cashman (Bill) and Phoebe Byrd.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hancock Parks Foundation Tree Planting Fund in Phil's memory.
