With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Martin Diel of Findlay, Ohio, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 9, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Diel and Marie Diel (Schmitt); his wife Carol Mae Blomeke; and his siblings, William, John Diel and Rita Hostuttler.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph Diel (Nancy) of Bethel Park, PA, Martin Diel (Mary Ann) of Lower Burell, PA and Catherine Doseck (Kevin) of Anna; his grandchildren, Jacob Diel (Lauren), Abigail Diel, Luke Diel, Connor Perry (Skyler), Mackenzie Perry, Dylan Perry, Nicholas Doseck (Kayla), Courtney Grewe (Andrew) and Jayden Doseck; his great grandchildren, Kinsley, Pavin, Baylor and Carsen Doseck; and his sister Carol Wilhelm of Bonita Springs, FL..
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (750 Bright Rd, Findlay, OH 45850). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Church, Marianist Mission, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
