He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Koontz and Helen Koontz (Elzay); his wife Susan Diane Boyer; and his brother Raymond Koontz (Carol). He is survived by: his daughters, Cindy Latham (John) of Pandora and Chris Clemons (Jeff) of Boonsboro, Maryland; his brothers, Richard Koontz (Eunice) of Columbus and Russell Koontz (Ruth) of Bluffton, Ohio; and his grandchildren, Jessica Arthur (Caleb), Mandi LeMaster, Tyler Latham (Jessica), Deidre Majoy (Tim), Brandon Kesselring, Trista Kesselring, Levi Latham and Kyler Hammond. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
