He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Smith and Edith Smith (Peterson). He is survived by: his wife Eliza "Fran" Denny; his son Zachary J. Smith of Findlay; his stepchildren, Kathy M. Butt (John) of Dayton and Curtis W. O'Connor; his brothers, Charles Smith (Linda) of Findlay and Wayne Smith (Sandy) of Findlay; and his grandchildren, Conner Butt (Makayla) of Dayton, Amy and Lacy O'Conner. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Coldren-Crates Funeral Home (205 W Sandusky St, Findlay, OH 45840). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Doug to Kan-Du studios.
