He was predeceased by: his father Ernest; and his grandson David Kovacs. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Sells Kovacs; his children, Jodi Jurney (James), Rob Kovacs (Michelle) and Dan Kovacs (Suzanne); and his brothers, Patrick Kovacs (Susan) and Rodney "Hutch" Kovacs (Karen). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
