She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Barth and Fern Barth (Bower); her husband Frank Shaffer; her son-in-law Lee Simon; and her siblings, Edward Barth, Bruce Barth, Shirley and Jean Ann Hankins.
She is survived by: her daughters, Beth Gillfillan (Denis) of Forest, Ohio. and Diane Simon (late Lee) of Forest, Ohio.; her grandchildren, Jeremy Gillfillan (Kristy), Nicole Ledesma (T. J.), Dionne Staley (Jeffery) and Lee Simon; and her great grandchildren, Isabella, Mia, Dayne Gillfillan, Cailyn Ledesma, Gianna and Jocelyn Staley.
